Last revised: 1 January 2025  |  Governing law: Malaysia

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies this Website uses, the purpose of each, and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

§ CK.01

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your browser or device on subsequent visits and can store information about your preferences or activity. Cookies set by the website operator are called "first-party cookies"; those set by third-party services integrated into the site are called "third-party cookies".

In addition to cookies, this Website may use similar technologies such as web beacons (invisible tracking pixels), local storage, and conversion tracking scripts. For the purposes of this Policy, all such technologies are referred to collectively as "cookies" unless a distinction is material.

§ CK.02

How Seri Chambers Uses Cookies

This Website uses cookies for three purposes:

  • Essential operation — to enable the Website to function correctly, remember your cookie consent choice, and maintain session continuity.
  • Analytics and performance measurement — to understand how visitors navigate the Website so that we can improve its content and structure. This data is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.
  • Conversion and marketing measurement — to record whether a visitor who completed the contact form arrived via a particular advertising channel. This enables us to assess which advertising investments are effective. No remarketing or behavioural profiling is conducted.

We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertisements on third-party websites, to build personal profiles, or to sell data to data brokers.

§ CK.03

Cookies Used on This Website

The table below sets out the specific cookies currently in use. Cookie names and identifiers may change as third-party providers update their technology; this table is reviewed and updated periodically.

Note: Marketing cookies are only loaded after you have given consent via the cookie banner. Essential cookies are loaded on all visits as they are strictly necessary for the operation of the Website.

§ CK.04

Legal Basis for Cookie Use

Essential cookies are placed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning website and our legal obligation to record consent choices. No separate consent is required for strictly necessary cookies.

Analytics and marketing cookies are placed only with your consent, which you provide (or decline) through the cookie consent banner displayed when you first visit the Website. You may withdraw consent at any time using the method described in Section CK.05 below. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any cookie use prior to withdrawal.

Data collected via analytics and conversion cookies may constitute personal data under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia) to the extent that it can identify an individual when combined with other information. It is processed in accordance with the Firm's Privacy Policy.

§ CK.05

Managing and Withdrawing Consent

You can manage your cookie preferences in several ways:

  • Cookie banner: When you first visit the Website, a banner allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. If you accepted cookies and later change your mind, you can clear your browser cookies and revisit the Website — the banner will reappear.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings menus. Doing so may affect the functionality of this and other websites. Guidance for common browsers is available from the respective browser's help pages.
  • Third-party opt-outs: You can opt out of Google Analytics measurement at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage Google Ads personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Meta provides opt-out options through your Meta account privacy settings.

Please note that withdrawing consent for analytics or marketing cookies does not affect cookies that are strictly necessary for the Website to function.

§ CK.06

International Data Transfers

Some third-party cookie providers — including Google and Meta — process data on servers located outside Malaysia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where such transfers occur, the Firm relies on the contractual arrangements between the Firm and those providers, which include standard data processing terms and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses.

You can review the data processing terms of these providers directly: policies.google.com/privacy and www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

§ CK.07

Data Retention

Cookie data is retained for the durations specified in the table in Section CK.03, or until you clear your browser cookies, whichever is shorter. Aggregated analytics data held within the Firm's Google Analytics account is retained for twenty-six (26) months before automatic deletion, in accordance with the Firm's Analytics data retention settings.

§ CK.08

Updates to This Policy

This Cookie Policy is reviewed periodically and updated when we add, remove, or change the cookies or tracking technologies on the Website. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. We recommend that you check this page from time to time if you wish to stay informed of any changes.

Where a material change affects how we use cookies for marketing or analytics purposes, we will display a revised consent banner to visitors whose previous consent pre-dates the change.

§ CK.09
